Built buy our Buildings business vertical, Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport is capable of handling 17+ million passengers and 300,000 tonnes of cargo per annum. It resembles a colossal, curvy magical carpet tossed over the structure supported by precisely spaced out steel struts. The 4-km runway is equipped with CAT 1 and ILS and was enhanced later to accommodate the Airbus A380. The airport also has an integrated cargo handling system.
Our Transportation Infrastructure business vertical is building the 4-km long New South Parallel Runway along with apron and associated works. Bengaluru will be the 3rd Indian airport to have a runway of more than 4 km and will also be one of the few airports in the country to be equipped with CAT IIIB LED ILS (Instrument Landing System) to enable safe landings in low visibility.
