With more than 50% of India’s population employed in the agricultural sector, irrigating large tracts of land to enhance the livelihood of millions to boost the economy is the primary focus of the Large Water Systems business. Water is drawn from rivers, pumped into delivery chambers and finally distributed through an automated outlet management system. The business largely executes lift irrigation schemes, micro irrigation projects, developmental works along the riverbanks and small & medium scale barrages. The Government’s emphasis on interlinking rivers to address the water problems faced across the country is availing an additional business to focus upon.
