Involves laying 206 Km of underground sewerage pipeline in the narrow, congested lanes of the ancient city of Sangam and constructing 3 sewerage pumping stations. The city waste was directly going into the river through open drains and nallahs due to the lack of a sewerage network. Various existing nallahs along with the new sewerage network were connected to the Pumping Station to prevent the sewage entering the river directly which will reduce the river’s pollution level and help realise the significance of Namami Gange.
