| ECC has ISO 9001/ISO 14001 and
OHSAS 18001-certified tower manufacturing facilities
at Pondicherry and Pithampur, with an installed
capacity of 24,000 tpa and 30,000 tpa respectively.
Both the plants are equipped with CNC lines for
fabrication of towers and microprocessor-based temperature
controlled eco-friendly systems for galvanization
of tower members. A 40,000 tpa rolling mill at Pondicherry,
also ISO-certified, produces angles, providing backward
integration. The rolling mill also produces sections
and reinforcement bars for customers on request.
Sourcing, selection,
inspection and supply of all line materials like
conductors, insulators, and hardware
ECC has developed an excellent vendor base for
sourcing of materials such as conductor, insulator,
etc., for transmission lines of all ratings both
in India and abroad. Utmost importance is given
to quality and timely delivery while choosing
vendors.
Construction of lines
up to 765kV including survey, foundation, erection,
stringing, testing and commissioning
ECC has dedicated, experienced construction teams
to take up project execution in India as well as
overseas. The successful commissioning of a 400kV
line in the toughest Himalayan Ranges speaks of
the organisation’s expertise in this field.
