Singoli Bhatwari Hydro-Electric
Project is a run-of-the-river scheme on river Mandakini
in Rudraprayag district of Uttaranchal. A Special
Purpose Vehicle will develop, finance, construct,
commission and operate this project on BOOT Basis
for a period of 45 years.
The project involves construction of a 20-m high
and 80-m long barrage, 12 km long head race tunnel,
surface powerhouse and 12 km transmission line (132
kV). Three Francis turbines of 20 MW each will be
used to generate 361 million units of energy in
a 90% dependable year.
