Engineering Design and Research Centre (EDRC) extends design engineering and consultancy services for bulk material handling plants for Power stations, Ports, Mines, Cement and Metallurgical plants; Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metallurgical plants; Mineral dressing, Processing plants; Pulp and Paper plants. In-house capabilities are available for engineering from concept to commissioning of wagon tipplers, stacker reclaimers and belt conveying systems.
EDRC located in Chennai and Kolkata with its multi-disciplinary team of engineers, sophisticated software and hardware facilities caters to customers and provides clients with exceptional design and engineering solutions meeting every industry norms. These include:
- Project conceptualization and system engineering
- Basic and detail engineering of all disciplines
- Geo-technical designs
- Construction methods and process engineering
For metallurgical plants, EDRC is involved in basic engineering of all balance systems and detail engineering of items for which basic engineering is done by technology partners. Substantial part of the layout is developed by EDRC Kolkata including coordination with various agencies. EDRC also possesses capability for static and dynamic analysis of machines and structures through the finite element method.
