Tendering module in eip - progress and launch
We are pleased to inform you that
Kohinoor Department in association with ISD have developed three pre- tendering
modules viz, Bid Selection Process Tool (BSP), Tender Information System (TIS)
and Site Investigation Report (SIR) in EIP, which were planned as part of the
IT Enablement process for tendering. Hitherto tendering was largely in excel
and through unstructured tools. The necessity to source other information from
EIP at pre tender stage and also integrate with other modules of EIP post
tender have necessitated these developments.
The
basic objectives of these tools are:
- Bid Selection Tool (BST): A
Tool to do the parametric selection of Bid (whether to quote or not) on
the basis of feasibility and strategic desirability in a structured and
systematic way.
- Tender Information System
(TIS): A module which captures all relevant information about the tender
other than the Estimate, and facilitates generation of ISO Compliance
Reports and Periodic review.
- Site Investigation Report
(SIR): All site investigation data needs to be captured through this
portal thus creating ready to use database for quick reference for future
bids.
We
express our sincere thanks to all the BUH’s, HOD’s BU-Coordinators and users in
each BU for extending their cooperation to the team in terms of sharing their
ideas, giving timely feedback and support in making these modules a reality.
The
above tools will be certainly informative and useful at all levels. We request all
of you to extensively use these tools and promptly interact with Kohinoor and
ISD in case of any difficulties or scope for further improvement if you feel.

It
is necessary that at the earliest we institutionalize use of these tools as a
process in tendering. Going ahead we are also developing the Core
Tendering module which will source information from the above three pre-bid
modules and also provide information for generation of our ACE. We will
